Hi everyone! Since I entered to university I thought that it will be a good idea to take postgrade studies, because nowadays, to be competitive in any labour field you need an especialization and a PhD will certainly give me that. But I'm also convinced that taking a job in what you studied for is the only real experience and competitivity that you will learn (There are things that are not written in books that only experience in work will sum to your knowledge). With all that said, I think that if I take a PhD, it'll probabily in an area which I like in Political Science. I like topics like National Defense, Administrative Decentralization, Advertising and Propaganda and International Relations.  I like national defense because since I was a little boy I have been interested on military topics and I think that is important, specially in this days, to develop civilian knowldge and to relate with politics and citizenship this area.   When I was in 12th Grade in School I participated in Theater classes. With the cast (called Contratiempo Drama Clu) we act a play that we wrote in dramaturgic classes, called "Mientras Tanto". It was about a series of different situations that happened at the same time in differents parts of the world. All of them were crudes, sometimes made you laugh with black humor and that gave you a weird felling about it, because while you were sat there watching the play, the situations acted in there were probably happening in real life in others parts of the world (like in the story of the play). With this play, we were selectioned to go to an international theatre festival called VQV (Vamos que venimos) in Argentina. In October of 2018 we traveled to the other side of The Andes to participate in VQV.  When I was 14 I was very clear abou what do I want to study: Political Science. So in High School I only prepared to give a great PSU (entrance test to university), even I didn't know which university do I wanted to go (I only thought in the UDP at that time). But the final day where they gave us the results I figured what to do: enter to study at U. de Chile and of course, the new career of Political Science.  I've never questioned myself in which area I would like to work, I'm really not interested in thinking about that even today. I have to figure it out. Cinema is called the 7 th art and it’s very impressive how much have changed since its beginning at the final years of the XIX century. This art has evolved and developed to limits that anyone, even the Lumiere brothers, could imagine in it’s first steps. The massification from Europe to all over the world in the XX century made it very popular, because the novelty that implied in every place that this new art was in every place that arrived. Nowadays, the U.S. is the most important producer of movies in the western hemisphere and sometimes its fame goes beyond the borders of this part of the world. Cinema have movie genres like horror, comedy, drama, romantic, action, historical and many more. There are all kind of movies for everyone’s taste! Personally, I like to watch movies, because it makes me feel well and satisfied. My favorite movie genres are the comedies, historical and action. Since I was a little boy, I have been moving across Chile and even lived in Brazil for a year. I think that is part of my lifestyle traveling from one place to another, I like it!  Sometimes I imagine and dream how other places looks like, how nice people is and the kind of culture that they have. I've thought in countries like Japan, China, Russia and the U.S. but a country that I would like to visit is Germany.  Deutschland  (name of the Germany in german), is a country in the heart of Europe, sharing borders with countries like France, Switzerland, Poland and Denmark. It has a population of 83 million, it is very industrialized and have a lot of culture. Historically, it is a very interesting place to visit, because it has been an important center of the western civilization, like in the medieval ages, the Prussian Empire, the two world wars and even in the Cold War it was split in two (East and West Germany). Its rich history makes me want to go, because I love history.
